The Head of State was introduced to the construction progress of the major structure. The highway stream crossing across the Irtysh River is part of Centre-East arterial highway project, implemented within the framework of Nurly Zhol infrastructure development program.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also met with the builders and workers involved in the project. During the conversation, he said that within Nurly Zhol Program the government will continue creating necessary conditions for the improvement of transport infrastructure and investment attractiveness of the region.
In turn, representatives of road-building enterprises of Kazakhstan thanked the President for the government’s implementation of projects on infrastructure modernization in the country.

This project is the longest bridge of the Central Asia. During the construction work the regional small and medium businesses get involved as subcontractors. It created more than 400 jobs. Bridge commissioning will relieve the road network and optimize transport and transit flows of Pavlodar.
