-15 years have passed from the field day in our history, when one of the most powerful nuclear test-sites in the world, Semipalatinsk nuclear test-site, which had brought numerous disasters to our people, was closed. Kazakhstan made a great contribution to the peace keeping by that act. Today, when rage emotions are prevailing, when all want to possess the weapons of mass-destruction, everybody is saying, that Kazakhstan gave an example by rejecting such a terrible weapon, - Nursultan Nazarbaev said.

-Kazakhstan must continue to remain a country of peace, calm, prosperity and development in this blustery ocean of time. Due to Nursultan Nazarbaev’s position and the people of Kazakhstan, who were brought up in peace and accord for decades, our country has a good reputation in the world, - O. Suleimenov said in a press briefing.
