The President attended the “Altyn Besik” festive events that took place at the old square of Astana.
Addressing the residents and visitors of the capital, Nursultan Nazarbayev underlined that this holiday symbolizes unity, friendship and reconciliation of the people of Kazakhstan. This day is celebrated in peace and friendship across the whole country. It brings us new hopes and bright feelings, makes us stronger and confident.
The head of state highlighted that future of any state is defined by its citizens. Nursultan Nazarbayev called all Kazakhstanis for solidarity to meet new goals and keep traditional values of mutual respect and tolerance.
“We amassed invaluable experience of interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony. These notions aptly meet the current spirit of the holiday and the spirit of our people. Since gaining independence, we have been pursuing the policy comes from the spirit of our people. Kazakhstan’s experience has been currently arousing increasing interest of our OSCE partners. Next year we will chair the Organization of the Islamic Conference. Just see what respected organizations Kazakhstan is trusted to chair. Is not it our satisfaction and pride? We will share our experience with all who is eager to adopt it, the President stressed.
