During the trip G.Abdykalikova took part in the national public consent сouncils' forum of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) in Almaty region, dedicated to celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence. The event was also attended by akim of Almaty region, the chairman of the regional APK A. Batalov, the APK Vice-President - Head of the Secretariat E.Tugzhanov, the APK and Regional Assembly members, representatives of ethno-cultural associations and the regional public.
In her speech, the Secretary of State stressed that the governing factor of Kazakhstan’s impressive gains, achieved under the leadership of the Head of State during 25 years of Independence, is the unity and harmony.
G.Abdykalikova noted the APK activity in Almaty region, contributing to the strengthening of social stability in the area. It is home to over 100 ethnic groups; their interests are represented by more than 70 ethno-cultural associations, creating the conditions for preservation and development of indigenous culture and language, traditions and customs.
Within the framework of the working visit the Secretary of State attended "Altyn Besik" kindergarten, built under a public-private partnership and Koksu central district hospital. G.Abdykalikova started the APK youth action "Menin Elim - Mangilik El!”, which is the act of mass support of “Mangilik El” national idea by the young people.
At the end of the trip G.Abdykalikova met with the regional women's public: maslikhat deputies, heads of state bodies, representatives of the business community, intellectuals and NGOs. The meeting discussed issues of strengthening women's participation in fulfilling the government programs, support for women's entrepreneurship, increasing the representation of women in decision-making, strengthening of spiritual and moral and family values.
At the end of the working visit the Secretary of State has given specific instructions to the public authorities.
