The meeting addressed the issues related to granting and deprivation of citizenship of Kazakhstan.
As noted by Gulshara Abdykalikova, over the years of independence the country has granted citizenship to more than 956,000 people, the majority of which became the citizens of Kazakhstan in recent years.
The Secretary of State stressed the increasing number of people from different countries of the world who want to become the citizens of Kazakhstan is an ample evidence of well-balanced, socially attractive and internationally recognized public policy of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
After the Head of State signs the appropriate Decree, 570 representatives of various nationalities from near and far abroad will become the citizens of Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, the Commission approved a number of resolutions and made specific recommendations.
