Opening the meeting, Gulshara Abdykalikova noted that at the recent XI Astana Economic Forum, the President of Kazakhstan stressed, On the cusp of the state formation, we launched Bolashak Program, which made it possible for 13,000 Kazakhstanis to be taught publicly funded at the best universities in the world. The Head of State also focused on transformation of the global labour market and Kazakhstan’s measures to reform the education sphere, aimed at building the skills of creative thinking, the ability to find the right information and apply it correctly.
The Secretary of State stressed that Nursultan Nazarbayev in his Address New Opportunities for Development in the Fourth Industrial Revolution paid special attention to the development of human capital. The key priority of educational programs is meant to be the development of the ability to constantly adapt to changes and assimilation of new knowledge. This calls for accelerating the creation of its own advanced educational system, with citizens of all ages inclusive.
- In these processes, heavy responsibility lies with the quality implementation of Bolashak Program, Gulshara Abdykalikova said.
The Commission’s meeting heard the report of E. Sagadiyev, Education and Science Minister, on executing the Protocol instructions of the Republican Commission for Training of Personnel Abroad, as well as a number of issues related to carrying out the Bolashak Program.
By Commission’s decision, the scholarship has been awarded to 67 applicants to have training in magistracy and doctoral studies, and will be sent for study placements with the world's leading scientific and business training centres.
Following the meeting, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan has given a number of instructions on the further implementation of Bolashak international scholarship.
