The President of Kazakhstan welcomed the visit of the President of the World Taekwondo Federation and noted that it would give impetus to further development of this sport in our country.
Moreover, the head of state pointed out that our nation has predisposition to the martial arts and Kazakhstan has reached good results in other combat and strength sports.
Chungwon Choue thanked for reception and stressed the importance of his visit to Kazakhstan, which was aimed at further popularity of Taekwondo in our country.
The issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea in the field of general and sports medicine, as well as projects for the introduction of the international health care standards, were also discussed at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Chungwon Choue presented Nursultan Nazarbayev with the Honorary Taekwondo 9th Dan with a corresponding belt and a kimono.
The head of state noted that the kimono would be awarded to the Kazakh athlete who will win the highest Taekwondo Dan.
