- You have arrived on the eve of the 25th anniversary of establishing our diplomatic relations. Over the years, we have built a very trustful and friendly cooperation. We support each other within the frame of international organizations. Jordan supports Kazakhstan's initiatives in the global arena, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the growth of interaction in various economic sectors, such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals and defence.
The Head of State emphasized the role of Jordan and King Abdullah II personally in the process of establishing peace and security in the Middle East.
- You are the Ambassador of the world, the successor of the role of your father Hussein. Kazakhstan is also trying to play such a role in its region. We are one of the leaders of the anti-nuclear movement, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, appreciating the peacekeeping activity of the King of Jordan, awarded him the international prize referred to as "For World without Nuclear Weapons and Global Security".
- This is a recognition of your merits and the hope that in the conditions of conflicts you will continue to play a peacekeeping role that brings nations together. Your country also takes an active part in the Astana process. Jordan has accepted more than one million Syrian refugees; you are providing financial and humanitarian assistance to Syria. I think that the whole world should appreciate that, the Head of State said.
In turn, King Abdullah II thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation and expressed gratitude for the award he received.
The King of Jordan emphasized the trusting nature of the existing relations between the two countries and pointed to the important role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the peaceful settlement of international conflicts.
