The Head of State accentuated the value of Singapore's experience in innovation, technology and financial sectors.
- During the 25 years of our independence we have had strong relationships with Singapore and have always treated your country as a kind of landmark. Regardless of the fact that Singapore is a city-state, it has become a sample of effective development model for many countries in the world. Our ways of constructing statehood are alike in a lot of ways. Against this background, when developing and implementing various programs and strategies, with special consideration we are reviewing the experience of your country, said the President of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Goh Chok Tong thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the invitation to visit Kazakhstan and the warm welcome.
- I am in your country for the first time and impressed by the dynamics of its development. I am very pleased that our two countries have developed strong partnerships. Currently all the key areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore have been identified, said Goh Chok Tong.
In conclusion, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Goh Chok Tong expressed confidence in further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
