At the meeting Kanat Bozumbayev informed Nursultan Nazarbayev of the social and economic development of the region over the past 11 months and told about the goals for the upcoming period.
The President stressed it is important to ensure thorough implementation of key government programmes, support small and medium-sized businesses and socially vulnerable groups.
The mayor of Pavlodar region noted today the implementation of the Industrialization Map remains one of the most important factors in the development of the region. In particular, 24 industrial projects worth 1.2 trillion tenge are to be launched within the second five-year period of the programme, which will create 6 thousand new jobs.
Kanat Bozumbaev mentioned the activities that are carried out to attract investment. Over the first 10 months of the year, the investments have grown by 40 percent. He also said two large companies will open their doors till the end of the year, including those producing calcined petroleum coke and agrochemical products.
Following the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev charged the mayor with a number of specific tasks.
