During the meeting, the Head of State has emphasized that the Security Council is a special body coordinating the state policy in the field of ensuring national security, law and order, and strengthening the country's defence capability.
- The Security Council’s new law significantly expands its powers. In this regard, it is necessary to study in detail the legal framework, including the documents regulating the activities of law enforcement and special bodies, the President of Kazakhstan said.
In turn, Gabit Baizhanov reported to Nursultan Nazarbayev on the preparations for the next meeting of the Security Council.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of State has given a number of specific instructions on the further work of the Security Council.
