During the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was reported on the current socio-economic development and the government’s results for 2 months of the current year.
According to the data presented, the growth of industrial production in January-February was 2.7%, agriculture - 3.6%, construction - 2.0% and services - 3.9%. There are trends of improvement in many economic sectors.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to ensure the qualitative implementation of structural and institutional reforms within the Nation Plan, as well as measures in the social sphere, voiced in the Addresses and instructions of the First President, implementation of all key government programs in terms of efficient use of budget funds, proceed with economic diversification, as well as to take prompt anti-flood measures in certain regions of the country.
The Prime Minister assured the Head of State that the Government will ensure the fulfillment of all budget obligations and social initiatives in full, as well as continue to prevent unreasonable price increases for socially important goods and improve the quality of economic growth.
Following the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of specific instructions.
