The President of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the heads of law enforcement and government agencies that regulate and monitor the financial market.
The issues related to the suppression of illegal activities of credit and financial organizations that caused serious material damage to citizens were considered at the meeting.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to thoroughly investigate the situation that caused a wide public response, take measures to prevent violations of citizens’ rights, and bring the perpetrators to justice. The Head of State underscored that it is unacceptable to repeat such cases in the future and stressed the importance of working to improve the financial literacy of the people.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues of registration of vehicles imported from the EAEU countries in violation of national legislation.
The President instructed the Government to prepare options for solving this issue, taking into account the Kazakh legislation, as well as the interests of both the state budget and the owners of motor vehicles.
