A letter in the name of the Head of State has come in from the Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In the address he laid stress on inextricable connection of all significant achievements of the University in the years of independence with the country’s progressive development under Nursultan Nazarbayev’s leadership.
‘During these years Kazakhstan has become the world’s recognizable and competitive country and succeeded in building the efficient economy, enhancing the well-being of citizens, political democratization and leadership in international integration and global processes’, the letter says.
G.Mutanov pointed to the growing global prestige of the education institution.
‘Evidence of that is the recognition of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as the UNESCO regional hub for Central Asia and the global hub of the United Nations on sustainable development. Significant achievement of the university is joining Top 250 best world universities of the authoritative rating agency QS (UK) study in 2016’, the letter states.
The Rector also pointed to the successful implementation of effective management system in KazNU meeting standard international requirements.
‘The university implemented the process management, system of administration, oriented to the rating of work achievements. Through the example of the world leading universities the KazNU has developed and introduced pilot educational programs, which passed the international accreditation’, the letter emphasizes.
The head of the institution has also noted that due to the public-private partnership the construction of a number of the University educational and infrastructure facilities has been completed.
‘New academic buildings of Mechanics and Mathematics, Physics and Technology and Chemistry Faculties, the Al-Farabi Research Library, House of Young Scientists, Keremet Students Service Center and the medical and diagnostic center have been constructed. Along with that the Balandin swimming pool and Arch of students and graduates have been opened at the beginning of the school year’, the letter reads.
In conclusion, the Rector of the University on behalf of the institution’s staff expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the constant support of the University and close attention to the development of the national system of education and science.
