In the welcome speech, Gulshara Abdykalikova has stressed that the Book Forum coincided with an important global event - "Astana Expo-2017" international exhibition.
She noted the particular timeliness of the exhibition in the light of implementing Nursultan Nazarbayev's program article "Future Outlook: Improving Public Consciousness", where a cult of knowledge is defined as one of the main directions.
Representatives of 90 companies and organizations from 25 countries of the world have arrived to Kazakhstan's main metropolis this year: Russia, China, USA, Germany, Turkey, Iran, India and other states.
Extensive cultural and business program is planned within the exhibition. There will be various presentations, round tables, meetings with famous cultural figures, writers and poets. In total, Kazakhstani and foreign exhibitors will hold about 100 cultural and business events and speeches of ethno-cultural associations.
During the visit to "Eurasian Book Fair - 2017" the State Secretary has inspected the book exhibits, and wished all participants to extend their creative contacts and reach business purposes.
