The event was the premiere of a new ballet called Alem. The ballet took place within the framework of the events organized to celebrate the Capital Day. The ballet in one act has become the first production of large form in the style of contemporary choreography in the repertoire of the Astana Ballet State Theatre.
The director of choreography for the ballet is a famous Russian choreographer Nikita Dmitriyevsky.
