The Head of the State congratulated all citizens of the country on the Independence Anniversary.
- 25 years of Independence is the unparalleled feat of our generation, in no control of time. It is symbolic that Kazakhstan has been elected to the UN Security Council the anniversary year. The Declaration adopted by the Parliament on the 25th anniversary of Independence becomes an important political and legal document, reflecting our great achievements and victories, the President of Kazakhstan said.
In his speech, the President focused on the most important achievements of the Independence period.
- According to leading international experts our country has given the world a vivid example of Kazakhstan's "economic miracle", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan has turned attention to the society’s progressive development.
- We have created a unique model of peace and harmony. National will born Assembly of People has gathered all ethnic groups under its wing. The main thing is that we are building up a just society, where everyone can say, "I am a citizen of Kazakhstan; this is my country, and I am building my fortune here", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Among core successes the Head of the State noted the establishment of a new capital Astana, which has become the fastest growing metropolis.
The President of Kazakhstan has made it clear that owing to the economic success we have managed to achieve a real growth of human wellbeing. As part of Kazakhstan’s social programs the President instructed the Government to raise a scale of pensions by 20 per cent to the level of 2016 in 2017, as well as increase the size of a childbirth single state benefit by 20 per cent from July 1, 2017.
Nursultan Nazarbayev paid special attention to the country's success in the international arena, among which are the Eurasian economic integration initiatives, leadership in the global anti-nuclear movement, and peace-making efforts.
- I am convinced that time will go by, and even after a thousand years the efforts of our generation, having selflessly created a new country, will inspire and help our descendants continue leading the Motherland forward, the President of Kazakhstan said.
At the end of his speech, the President once again congratulated all people of Kazakhstan on the holiday and wished all success and outstanding achievements.
