During the working visit, the Head of the State visited "Baiterek" restored monument, which is a symbol of the capital city.
The interior of the structure was transformed during the overhaul. In particular, new energy-saving double-glazed windows of the dome and trunk of the monument are installed, allowing to reduce costs and heat losses. The monument’s hall is decorated with a huge LED screen.
Further, the President of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the expositions presented at the annual international cultural festival ASTANA ART FEST, held in the open air on Nurzhol Boulevard.
More than 60 authors from Kazakhstan, Russia, France, Ukraine, Spain, USA, Germany, Armenia, Japan and Uzbekistan will demonstrate their creations at the festival.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has also made a walk through the pedestrian zone called Arbat, located next to the monument to the Khan of Kenesary. On Arbat the Head of the State was presented exclusive works of Kazakh artisans from leather, felt, clay and wood, and music tunes of street music were heard.
Here, akim of Saryarka metropolitan area acquainted the President of Kazakhstan with the plan for further development of the district's infrastructure.
The Head of the State talked with residents and guests of the capital city, and also congratulated everyone on the coming Capital’s Day, wishing health and prosperity.
In conclusion, the Kazakh President was shown a light and sound laser show on the embankment of the Yesil River.
