During the visit President Nursultan Nazarbayev looked around the premises of the complex and got acquainted with vegetable cultivation technology.
The head of state also got acquainted with major directions of agricultural development of the region, including measures taken to improve food safety.
In addition, the President talked with farmers and agricultural products exporters.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the need to increase productivity in the agricultural sector, emphasizing the importance of applying a scientific approach. He noted that the demand for agricultural and industrial production will grow, given the growing world population. In this connection, the President said, agricultural enterprises should take full advantage of opportunities offered by the state by introducing new technologies in the workplace and adopting international best practices.
The greenhouse complex for the production of vegetables covers an area of 3 hectares and has a capacity of 1,500 tons of vegetables per year.
