The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev familiarized himself with the activities of the Maritime Academy, established in 2018 at the Yessenov Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering following the Fifth Caspian Summit agreements.
The Head of State examined the Academy’s material and technical base, including multifunctional navigational, marine engineering, navigational training classes, training rooms for first aid, fire-fighting and rescue operations.
During the informal conversation with the Academy’s students, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of obtaining high-quality special education that meets modern standards, and wished them academic achievements.
As for the university students, they thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his emphasis on the problems of the younger generation and state support in the framework of the Year of Youth.
In addition, the Head of State was presented information about the institution’s activities, including the program “Serving the Society”, which currently brings together 1,200 volunteers.
