Former US Secretary of Defense William Perry, former US Senator Sam Nann, Governor of California Gerald Brown, founder of the CNN TV channel Ted Terner, as well as former head of the Gap Company Anne Gust attended the meeting.
The meeting participants focused on the most topical issues of the international agenda, as well as of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States in the global anti-nuclear movement.
Nursultan Nazarbayev said he was glad to meet with his long-term partners, and welcomed the possibility of discussing ways to further strengthen Kazakh-American cooperation.
