Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sam Walsh discussed major issues of the future implementation of joint projects in the field of exploration. The parties also discussed a number of other areas of cooperation, including the transfer of modern exploration technologies, as well as training of Kazakhstani specialists.
The Head of State expressed his confidence in fruitful and successful collaboration.
“Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources. With this in mind, we expect great discoveries from your company,” he said.
Sam Walsh, in turn, stressed that the company has already been working in Kazakhstan, and “Rio Tinto” is deeply interested in further cooperation.
