On the sidelines of the 56th Munich Security Conference, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) José Ángel Gurría.
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OECD.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the implementation of OECD standards and will continue to actively cooperate with this influential organization in the implementation of political and economic reforms.
The OECD Secretary General highly appreciated the long-term fruitful cooperation with Kazakhstan. José Ángel Gurría expressed great interest for the President's speech at the expanded meeting of the Kazakhstan’s Government on January 24 this year, many provisions of which were prepared given the practical proposals and recommendations of the OECD.
