The event was also attended by Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, Igor Dodon, President of Moldova, as well as Sapar Isakov, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board, the Eurasian Economic Commission.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed a number of topical issues on cooperation within the framework of the EEA and the further development of the economic union, and they also heard the EEC report.
During the talks, the positive impact of the EEU on the economies of the participating countries and the importance of building up integration processes were focused on.
Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of the main directions to implement the EEU digital agenda.
In addition, the Head of State proposed to hold in 2018 a special meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on digitization of the economies of the member countries.
In conclusion, the parties expressed their confidence that actualization of the agreements reached will raise the cooperation between the EEU states to a higher level.
