The sides discussed future prospects for further cooperation in the energy and petrochemical industries.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that during the years of the company’s presence in the country a number of major projects were carried out making it one of the leading investors in the economy of Kazakhstan.
Ben Van Beurden, in turn, noted that the cooperation with Kazakhstan remains one of the top priorities in the work of the group. He also congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.
