- This year marks the 25th anniversary of signing the Treaty on Friendly Relations and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia. This document plays an important role in the consistent development of relations between our countries that have centuries-old traditions of friendship and good-neighbourliness, the President of Kazakhstan said.
In turn, Khaltmaagiin Battulga thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for his congratulations on his election as the President of Mongolia, and on his birthday.
- I closely watch your work and know that you have created a new capital - Astana. I was studying Kazakhstan's experience a lot while I was Minister of Construction of Mongolia. We are also thinking of building the city of Mytar near our capital city Ulan Bator, said the President of Mongolia.
In conclusion, the Head of State noted that, first, it is necessary to raise the level of cooperation between the two countries to a new level, and stressed that Kazakhstan supports Mongolia's desire to participate in the work of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
