The Heads of State discussed results of the meeting in Minsk aimed at resolution of crisis in Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for his personal participation and strong contribution into promotion of peaceful settlement of conflict in the south-east of Ukraine and asked him to make further efforts in this regard.
Petro Poroshenko assured the President of Kazakhstan that the Ukrainian side will cease fire at the appointed hour, drawing attention to the need for a similar action from the opposite side.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted it is important that all parties to the conflict ensure unswerving implementation of measures stipulated in the Minsk agreements. “The whole world is waiting for this,” he said.
The telephone conversation was held on the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
