The program of President Tokayev’s bilateral talks on the sidelines of the 77th UN General Assembly began with a meeting with Alexander Van der Bellen, the President of Austria.
The heads of state discussed the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Austrian cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres, as well as cooperation within international organizations.
The sides stressed their mutual commitment to further develop political dialogue and expand trade, economic and investment ties.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of resuming direct flights between the two countries and expressed interest in the transfer of Austrian technologies in the fields of renewable energy, agriculture, digitalization, tourism, and infrastructure.
The participants of the meeting also exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda.
