The Secretary of State stressed that the celebration of a quarter century anniversary of the Independence of the country is under "25 Years of Unity and Creation" motto.
- Throughout the year, we have brought up to speed on the difficulties in the early days of Kazakhstan, told about our country’s achievements in various sectors, and what way we have accomplished together over the years, G.Abdykalikova said.
The meeting addressed the issue of the National Action Plan implementation to strengthen family relationships, moral, ethical and spiritual and moral values in Kazakhstan for 2015-2020. The plan includes measures directed at improving the situation of children, including socially vulnerable, increasing the competence of the population on issues of family and marriage and family values’ strengthening.
On behalf of the Head of the State the Institute for Children's Rights Ombudsman has been established. Within the national educational system funded savings accounts have been opened for 7779 orphans amounting to more than 5 billion tenge. All forms of family (guardianship, foster care, a foster family) are financially encouraged by the State. There is a simplified procedure for the adoption of children by citizens of Kazakhstan and more stringent requirements for international adoption.
There are actual 39 special pre-school institutions with a contingent of 5213 children and 159 special groups in public pre-school institutions with 5461 children. The number of kindergartens that implement inclusive education is growing. Inclusive education covers 14,517 children of preschool age. Creative rehabilitation in institutions of additional education has been organized for more than 2 000 children with disabilities.
The meeting also addressed the issue of awareness-raising activities concerning religious education of women. Thus, during 2013-2016 in the framework of that work more than 59 000 events have taken place with total population coverage of about 5.5 million, and 51% of them are women. "Religion and Woman" project is being realized in cooperation with the National Commission and regional akimats.
In addition, the National Commission members presented the national multimedia portal called «Otbasym.kz», designed to strengthen the spiritual and moral values among young people and promote the national culture and family traditions.
At the end of the meeting the Secretary of State has given a number of specific instructions to the governmental bodies.
