Opening the session, Secretary of State emphasised the importance of the work, aimed at the state support and stimulation of the authors, who made a significant contribution to an enrichment of the cultural heritage of the country, as well as related to this responsibility of the members of the Commission.
The works submitted were considered directly in three sections: literature; music, theatre and cinema; fine art and architecture. The work of the sections ended in a secret voting, during which the works recommended for the participation in the next round were selected. A list of the candidates was approved by a common decision of the Commission.
In accordance with the rules, the information about the authors and the works will be placed in the «Yegemen Kazakhstan» и «Kazakhstanskaya pravda» republican newspapers for an open discussion.
