Gulshara Abdykalikova stressed that bilateral cooperation in the field of education is expanding. At the initiative of the Head of State, in 2014, the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute was established, which operates based on the Abay Teacher Training Kazakh National University. In the current academic year, the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan made a selection of candidates for training in higher educational institutions of this country in the framework of the Agreement between the Education and Science Ministry of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. At present, 66 Kazakhstan citizens (57 undergraduates and 9 doctoral students) are studying under the Abay-Verne Program, providing for Kazakhstan's scholarships.
The conversation has led to the agreement on continuing the initiated initiatives in the field of education.
At the end of the meeting, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova wished the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France in Kazakhstan Philippe Martine great success in further strengthening the Kazakh-French cooperation.
