The meeting discussed issues of Kazakhstan's conferment of nationality and withdrawal.
Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova stressed that since independence the number of persons wishing to become citizens of Kazakhstan is on the rise. That fact attests to the economic and social stability, interethnic and civil harmony and steady progression of our country, achieved under the visionary leadership of the President.
"We are especially pleased to welcome new citizens of our country on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the country’s Independence, wishing them a happy life and fruitful work for the benefit of their homeland by now. I am sure that after becoming good citizens, they will contribute to the further development and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan", the Secretary of State said.
After the Head of State signs the new Decree, 622 representatives of different nationalities who came to us from countries of near and far abroad will become citizens of Kazakhstan.
Also, the results of the Internal Affairs Ministry activity have been given consideration concerning conferment of nationality of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the simplified procedure and the loss of citizenship.
Following the meeting, the Commission has approved the relevant resolutions and recommendations.
