Gulshara Abdykalikova stressed that the present meeting is taking place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. During 23 years 9339 people by "Bolashak" program have got high quality education in the world’s best universities. "Bolashak" Presidential scholarship is a national project in Kazakhstan, which will result in faster successful integration into the global educational system.
The Secretary of State noted that the competitive graduates of "Bolashak" program will make an important contribution to the country’s further progress and prosperity, and will actively participate in achieving the main goal of "Kazakhstan - 2050" Strategy – to be among the 30 most developed countries of the world.
The meeting heard the report of Education and Science Minister of E.Sagadiev on enforcement of protocol errands of the National Commission for Training Abroad, and discussed a number of issues relating to carrying-out the "Bolashak" program.
The meeting approved the List of priority majors for 2017, drawn up at the request of central and local state bodies, and defined the outside number of scholarships for the next year.
The Commission Decision awarded 231 scholarships to the applicants who will get educated in magistracy and doctoral studies, and will get training in the leading research and industrial centers of the world.
Total number of scholarship holders in 2016 has been 544 people.
At the end of the meeting G.Abdykalikova has given a number of instructions aimed at further implementation of “Bolashak" international scholarship.
