During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation in trade, economy, investment and transit transportation.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed Kazakh-Qatar bilateral relations enjoy a very high level.
“I am sure that your visit will further enhance the level of our cooperation. Qatar has assisted in the construction of our capital, including of the mosque “Nur Astana”. I would also like to express my gratitude for your help in the construction of the rehabilitation center for people affected by nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk test site in the city of Semey,” he said.
The project is implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Fund of Culture, Education and Social Programmes of Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Qatar Development Fund.
Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, in turn, conveyed the greetings of Emir of Qatar to President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and expressed his hope for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
