At the meeting K.Bishimbayev reported to the President on the results of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 9 months of the present year, as well as on the implementation of Nurly Zhol program, which is the main tool for transport infrastructure development and support to the economy.
The President of Kazakhstan has placed greater focus on the need for further economic development speedup, improvement of the population’s social welfare, rational and effective use of budget funds and the National Fund allocated to support the economy and implementation of key government programs.
In his report the National Economy Minister noted the GDP increase of 0.4% for the first 9 months of 2016.
- Fundamental economic growth drivers are construction and transport industry, manufacturing and agriculture. For example, in construction the increase in volume is at 6.9%, in agriculture - 4.9%, in transport sector - 4%, and in manufacturing - 0.6%. Along with that, there has been a rise in production level of metallurgical products and pharmaceuticals, foodstuff and petrochemicals, K.Bishimbaev said.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan was informed on progress in implementing the third institutional reform "Industrialization and Economic Growth" within the Plan of the Nation's "100 Steps".
Following the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev has charged K. Bishimbayev with several specific tasks.
