During the meeting in private the sides have discussed the key directions of the Kazakh-Israeli partnership and given consideration to the main issues of cooperation in trade-economic, investment spheres, as well as in the field of innovative technologies.
Both sides have also exchanged views on topical matters of the international agenda.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that Netanyahu's visit takes place on the eve of the momentous for all people of Kazakhstan celebration of the 25th anniversary of the country’s Independence.
- All these years a good relationship has maintained between Kazakhstan and Israel. Big Jewish diaspora in Kazakhstan and the Kazakh community in Israel are a bridge for constructive relations between our nations, he said.
The President of Kazakhstan underlined Kazakhstan's interest in further development of business relations with Israel, and expressed his hope that the visit would give a new impetus to bilateral relations.
In turn, Prime Minister of the State of Israel has noted that visiting Kazakhstan on the eve of Independence’s anniversary is a great honor for him.
- The world is surviving sweeping changes; there are a lot of challenges in the field of security. However, these changes offer great opportunities, in particular in the field of new technologies, which, in turn, are closely related to any sector of the economy, Netanyahu said.
The Head of the Israeli Government pointed out that his country had succeeded in two areas: safety and new technologies.
- In this regard, today I propose to combine the strategic development plans of Kazakhstan and the possibility that Israel has for the benefit of our two nations, said Netanyahu.
The Head of the State emphasized that the proposal of the Prime Minister of Israel coincides with the plans on the Kazakh side.
- We are familiar with the success of Israel in innovation and new technologies. At present 270 companies are collaborating with the Kazakh enterprises in various sectors of the economy. I believe that cooperation in the format proposed by you will be actively considered in the framework of today's business forum, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
