During the meeting, the sides discussed future prospects of enhancing cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union in the light of the upcoming presidency of Luxembourg in the organisation.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted last year Kazakhstan signed a document on the completion of negotiations on the draft Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU.
“I hope that during your chairmanship these procedures will be completed. Taking into account friendly relations between our countries, we rely on your support in solving some issues in cooperation with the European Union, including the facilitation of visa regime, and ease of restrictions in the field of aviation,” he said.
The parties also stressed the importance of further deepening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg for the benefit of the two nations.
