During the meeting, the Head of State particularly emphasized the need to create conditions for the further development of Kazakhstan's science and support of young scientists.
- Nazarbayev University has become famous in the world. Under your leadership, there are more than 1,000 graduates. We have achieved a lot in the development of the institution. However, it is necessary to think over further measures to support young talents, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that based on the infrastructure of EXPO-2017, there are wide opportunities for young scientists to develop and implement various start-up projects, especially in the IT field and the green economy growth.
In turn, Shigeo Katsu thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the chance to discuss the development prospects of the higher education institution and the research potential of the country.
