- I believe that cancellation of economic sanctions against Iran is a result of your efforts, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that Iran is one of the first countries in the world to recognize our country’s independence.
- Since independence Kazakhstan's friendly policy toward Iran has remained unchanged. At present the time is ripe for our cooperation to get to a strategic level, and Kazakhstan is ready to cooperate closely, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, Hassan Ruhani congratulated the Head of the State on the 25th anniversary of the country’s Independence, noting that Iran places high emphasis on the development of partnership relations with Kazakhstan.
- Our policy has always been directed at strengthening good neighborly relations with all neighboring countries. Your visit to Iran in April this year has been of great importance for the further development of bilateral relations, the President of Iran said.
The leaders expressed hope that the current visit would give new impetus to the Kazakh-Iranian cooperation.
