At the meeting Kuandyk Bishimbaev informed Nursultan Nazarbayev of major results of the holding’s activity in 2015 and told about the plans for the coming period.
The Head of State emphasized the need to increase the efficient use of budget funds, attract more foreign investment, and further develop public-private partnership.
Kuandyk Bishimbaev noted 29,000 new jobs were created by the Holding this year as part of the Nurly Zhol programme. It also supported over 10,000 small and medium-sized businesses, which ensured the increase in tax revenues up to 40 billion tenge. In addition, about 5,500 new apartments were put into operation as of today within the programme of social rental housing. The number of apartments will increase up to 7,000 by the end of the year
Chairman of Board of the Baiterek Holding also said 320 billion have been invested in 13 new industrial projects in the fields of chemistry, oil refining and production of petroleum, metallurgy and food industry.
Kuandyk Bishimbaev informed the President of interim results of the programme titled “Competitive Leaders –National Champions”, which reflects the international best practices, including those from Germany, Singapore, USA, Malaysia and other countries. As of today, some of the participants have already received financial support from the institutions of the holding and are implementing their initiatives.
Following the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev charged Kuandyk Bishimbayev with a number of specific tasks.
