In his speech, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that during the election Kazakhstanis once again demonstrated their solidarity and unity.
“The entire country came to vote. I saw our citizens coming to the polling stations with their families, children and grandchildren. All this imposes responsibility and makes you think day and night on how to make your people live better, increase their welfare, enable them to bring their children and look to the future with confidence,” he said.
The President stressed that the people of Kazakhstan also demonstrated their political culture, having voted not only for the President of the country, but also for their own future.
The Head of State thanked everyone who took an active part in the organisation and holding of the election.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the election period will be followed by a serious work.
“We need to complete the industrialisation of Kazakhstan, build an alternative economy, create new jobs with high-quality revenues and professional skills. We should implement the “Nurly zhol” new economic policy to build roads across Kazakhstan and thus intensify our economic relations, becoming a transit state. All of this is a new stage and the hard work that you and I must perform. I wish all of us success in the implementation of the tasks and challenges facing our country,” he said.
The President drew attention to the necessity of adhering to key priorities in the domestic and foreign policy.
“We will be a consolidated state that remains true to its commitments to the allies and partners. We will strengthen the concord at home, contributing to peace in our region and throughout the world. People believe in us, and we call for an end to the bloodshed wherever there is conflict. We urge to look at the experience of Kazakhstan, which shows that the multi-religious and multi-ethnic country can live in peace,” he said.
In conclusion, Nursultan Nazarbayev once again thanked all Kazakhstanis for their support, wishing everyone peace, prosperity and well-being.
