The following topical issues have been under consideration at the meeting: prospects for the growth of the University and intellectual schools, the increase in the number of entrants to educational institutions, organizational aspects, and selection of new supervisory boards.
The President of Kazakhstan made a point of the process of developing the University’s research work and expanding the international cooperation, and also noted the effective functioning of twenty intellectual schools throughout the country.
- All graduates of intellectual schools enter universities, including the ones abroad. Of these, more than 90 percent are holders of state and university educational grants. We need to update the strategies for their further work to fuel our educational institutions, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Head of the State noted that for seven years of work the University had achieved significant success, having graduated about two thousand students during that period.
Shigeo Katsu, President of Nazarbayev University, also took the floor at the meeting.
