The President started his working trip to the region with visiting the Ust-Kamenogorsk Reinforcement Steel Plant where he familiarized himself with the progress of modernization and expansion program being realized within the framework of the State Program on Forced Industrial Innovative Development. To date, the plant produces various reinforced components including gate valves for the main oil pipelines and oil wells.
The President also surveyed the exhibition devoted to the projects realized by the region’s producers. Then the head of state held a teleconference with the Shemonaikha district on the agricultural issues.
The President also visited a hockey rink with an artificial turf. The sporting complex was constructed by Kazakhmys. This hockey rink is a unique playground with an artificial turf that allows playing hockey and other kinds of skating sports throughout the year.
At the end of his working trip to the East Kazakhstan region the President visited the KEMONT JSC specializing in high-voltage electrical equipment.
