During the visit, the two leaders toured the academic buildings and got acquainted with the University.
Shinzo Abe signed the distinguished visitors’ book, and gave a lecture to the students and teachers of the University. In his speech, Shinzo Abe noted the importance of staff training in the process of industrial modernization of Kazakhstan, expressing readiness of Japan to provide active assistance in the issue.
“We will continue to support the training of highly qualified personnel for the industrial sector of your country,” Shinzo Abe said.
Following the lecture, the Japanese Prime Minister was awarded a title of Honorary Professor of Nazarbayev University.
