The Head of State got acquainted with the new sports and tourist facility, designed for conducting training sessions, training camps and competitions.
The national base of skiing includes a ski stadium, a shooting range, an indoor sports complex with a swimming pool and training halls, facilities for jumping from a ski jump, premises for administrative and auxiliary purposes.
During the visit the President of Kazakhstan heard the information on the prospects for the country's tourism industry development. First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediulyand Akim of Akmola region Malik Murzalin delivered reports on the plans for the subsequent implementation of Tourist Kazakhstan Program and further development of Shchuchinsk-Borovoy resort area.
Having listened to the reports, the Head of State stressed the urgency of promoting Kazakhstan's tourist potential.
- At present the main task lies in creating places for recreation inside the country, where Kazakhstanis will be able to get acquainted with all the beauties of our Motherland, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan pointed to the need to develop infrastructure in Shchuchinsk-Borovoy resort zone.
In addition, the Head of State gave prominence to upgrading tourism services through training relevant specialists.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has also noted that currently 10 key tourism zones will be given special attention. They are Imantau, Bayanaul, Turkestan, Almaty region, Charyn canyon, Alakol, Caspian coast, etc.
- There will be subsidies for tourist facilities. Tourists can be attracted on condition of competitive prices. We must attach importance to this economic sector, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Head of State urged regional leaders and potential investors to actively participate in developing the country’s tourist cluster.
