As part of his participation in the Nuclear Security Summit, President Nursultan Nazarbayev held negotiations with a number of foreign state leaders.
During the meeting with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, the sides discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector, strengthening of cooperation in the field of education, as well as joint activities in the field of innovation.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also held talks with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban. The parties focused on the implementation of bilateral agreements reached during Orban’s visit to Astana in April last year, as well as cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping the two leaders discussed the G-20 summit to be held in September 2016 in Shanghai. Nursultan Nazarbayev is invited to take part in the Summit as a guest of honor.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Abdullah II King Of Jordan, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto, President of Chili Michelle Bachelet, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong and Secretary of State John Kerry.
