During his official visit to Germany, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. They discussed possibilities of expanding the Kazakh-German cooperation and strengthening business ties between the two countries.
“Germany is the 4th largest economy in the world, but in terms of investment in Kazakhstan it only occupies the 12th position. We want to provide exclusive preferences for German businessmen who will come to Kazakhstan as investors. We have special economic zones, hence we will provide good conditions for them,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
Gerhard Schröder positively assessed the measures taken in Kazakhstan to attract investors and expressed his proposals for the implementation of joint business projects in the sectors of the real economy. According to the well-known politician, Kazakhstan should pay attention not only to large German companies, but also to the potential of small and medium-sized businesses of this country.
