Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Greek Foreign Minister Nikolaos Dendias, who arrived in Astana on an official visit.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Greek cooperation, focusing on strengthening trade and economic ties.
President Tokayev stressed that Greece is one of the major partners of Kazakhstan in the European Union. He also noted that Kazakhstan and Greece are actively cooperating at multilateral fora.
“I would like to indicate that our relationship with Greece is a priority for us. And we will be doing our utmost in order to increase the substances and the level of our mutual cooperation," President Tokayev said.
Nikolaos Dendias thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to exchange views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
“We see Kazakhstan as the biggest and most important countries in Central Asia, which is also appeal of stability in the region. Greece stands ready for further mutually beneficial cooperation with your country," the Minister said.
President Tokayev and Minister Dendias also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda.
