At the start of the meeting, President Tokayev expressed his condolences to Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing for the numerous lives lost due to the recent devastating earthquake in Myanmar.
The Kazakh President emphasized that Kazakhstan and Myanmar have always maintained friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust.

Both leaders acknowledged the significant untapped potential for expanding trade and investment ties and expressed their readiness to explore opportunities for strengthening political and economic relations.
President Tokayev proposed organizing mutual visits by business community representatives to provide a strong impetus to economic cooperation.

In response, the Prime Minister of Myanmar thanked President Tokayev for his words of support and sympathy and affirmed Myanmar’s interest in furthering joint efforts.
The meeting included discussions on potential cooperation in the fields of petrochemicals, agriculture, digitalization, transportation, and logistics.
