Participation of Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova in the III Bolashak Program Int’l Conference "Bolashak Alumni Reunion Conference and Education Fair 2016”

In BARCEF-2016 conference was attended by MPs, heads of central government agencies, local and international experts, representatives of local and foreign universities, Bolashak Program graduates and international partners.

In her welcoming speech G.Abdykalikova stressed that the President of Kazakhstan in the Nation’s Plan "100 Specific Steps" tasked to develop the export potential of the education sector and improve the quality of human capital on the basis of the OECD standards. Implementation of Bolashak Program and the BARCEF international exhibition are one of the effective measures in dealing with that task.

G.Abdykalikova noted that BARCEF-2016 is held in the year marking the important date in the history of our country, i.e. the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. The Secretary of State stressed that the President’s  Bolashak Project is a presidential investment in the future generation of managers and world-class specialists.

Since initiation of the program more than 12 thousand grants have been awarded and more than 8.5 thousand specialists educated. G.Abdykalikova noted that the program had enabled Kazakhstan to successfully integrate into the global system of training and ensure the transfer of best technologies to Kazakhstan's economic and socio-cultural space.

In conclusion, the Secretary of State expressed confidence that the competitiveness of graduates of Bolashak Program will make a key contribution to our country’s growth, and will actively participate in the achievement of the main goal of Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy, that is becoming one of the 30 most developed countries of the world.

BARCEF annually brings together more than 60 representatives of leading foreign and Kazakhstan’s universities, national companies and more than 4,000 schoolchildren and students of Kazakhstan.
